ChatGPT usage limits
ChatGPT is still the broadest general-purpose AI subscription stack: everyday chat, files, search, image generation, deep research, agent mode, Codex, and workspace controls all live under one roof. WeeklyUsage tracks the plans that matter most for US buyers: Free, Go, Plus, the two Pro usage tiers, Business, and Enterprise.
What to know
Go is the low-cost first upgrade when Free feels too tight. Plus remains the practical mainstream upgrade for people who want expanded messages, uploads, image creation, deep research, agent mode, memory, tasks, custom GPTs, and Codex without jumping straight into a power-user plan.
Pro is best understood as a usage allowance upgrade. OpenAI says the $100 tier gives 5x higher usage than Plus, while the $200 tier remains the highest individual tier with 20x Plus usage. Both Pro tiers share the same core capabilities, and "unlimited" model language is still subject to abuse guardrails.

Limit notes
Exact caps are not always public
OpenAI publishes plan-level feature access and relative usage, but model-specific message caps can shift with demand, model choice, and tool use.
Context is plan and model dependent
The pricing table currently shows larger total context on Pro and Enterprise than on Free, Plus, or Business. Large file workflows are still shaped by input size, active tools, and selected model.
Go is now tracked
OpenAI lists Go as a low-cost paid plan with expanded access compared with Free. Business Codex remains watched separately because it is usage-priced for development-focused teams.
